SAB A Christmas Mosaic - Set I Isaiah 7:14
This is the first of three different sets of Christmas carols,
arranged SAB for easy singing by smaller choirs or ensembles.
Each set consists of four traditional songs, joined by interludes.
1] I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
I heard the bells on Christmas Day,
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
2] O Little Town of Bethlehem
O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark street shineth the Everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.
3] Silent Night
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child,
Holy Infant so tender and mild.
Sleep in heavenly peace;
Sleep in heavenly peace.
4] The First Noel
The first noel the angel did say,
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, noel, noel, noel,
Born is the King of Israel.
