SATB God's Embracing Love John 3:16
Nothing more encapsulates God's message to mankind than John 3:16.
But, after agreeing with God about our sin and receiving His awesome love,
we often lose sight of its amazing depth and height. This song reminds us of it.
Lyrics:In words gentle as a dove,
God speaks His unchanging love.
Each moment in His accepting presence
Brings a joy the world knows not of.
The Son's outstretched hands begin the embrace;
Running to Him, our guilt is erased.
Innocence took iniquity's place,
So God's holy arms could wrap us in grace!
Could we with ink the ocean fill
And were the skies of parchment made,
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade.
To write the love of God above
Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
Tho' stretched from sky to sky,
Tho' stretched from sky to sky.
In words gentle as a dove,
God speaks His unchanging love.
Each moment in His accepting presence
Brings a joy the world knows not of.
The Son's outstretched hands begin the embrace;
Running to Him, our guilt is erased.
Innocence took iniquity's place,
So God's holy arms could wrap us in grace!
So God's holy arms could wrap us in His amazing grace!
