SATB Crucifixion Grief - Resurrection Joy John 11:25
Calvary - God's hinge of history that's such a paradox!
How could something so wretched - be so wonderful?
The 3rd verse of "Man of Sorrows" is its centerpiece.
Lyrics:On a skull-shaped hill outside the city gate
Stood a blood-stained cross absorbing Satan's hate.
Look at Jesus, Lamb of God, dying for the world He loved,
Satisfying the perfect justice of Holy God above.
The more we believe in the glorious grace of Christ,
His undeserved favor, His gift of stunning price,
The more we understand that we're made righteous by His blood.
Beautiful Son, Beautiful Sacrifice!
Lifted up was He to die.
"It is finished," was His cry,
Now in heav'n exalted high,
Hallelujah! What a Saviour!
Crucifixion grief - Resurrection joy!
Dying and rising, sin's curse He destroyed!
Soon He's coming back for us;
Soon we'll see the face we trust.
Eye to eye we'll thank Him for Golgotha's grace!
Eye to eye we'll thank Him for Golgotha's glorious grace!
